When Skeet first told me he wanted to make a doggie soap that repelled fleas, I thought to myself that no one would want to buy a bar of soap to use on their dog. Boy was I wrong on that. He not only made that bar of soap but he spent a lot of time researching flea repellent essential oils, dogs and even the main complaints of dog owners. What he found out he carefully included in this bar of soap. He found that a lot of dogs suffer from dry skin that causes the scratching that we associate with fleas. Sometimes this dry skin is caused by a shampoo that is used. Sometimes it is caused by the weather and sometimes a dog is just predisposed to dry skin. He took what he found and he carefully added more moisturizers to our dog soap. He added coconut oil and olive oil to help with the dry skin. Then he added essential oils known to repel fleas. He didn’t want to make a soap that killed fleas because that would take chemicals he didn’t want to add to our flea soap so he created a flea repellent that helps with dry skin. I still didn’t think anyone would want to use this on their dog because it was a bar but we have had so many people that have purchased our flea soap and we have received so many comments on how wonderful it is that I am now thoroughly convinced he created a wonderful soap for dogs. I actually took a phone call one afternoon from an old lady that had bought a bar of our soap earlier that day. She was almost in tears talking to me. She said she felt the need to call and tell us what our soap did for her dog. She had been given a small dog that was very hyper and she loved the little dog but the dog wouldn’t let her sit and hold her. He was just too hyper to sit still to be petted. She said that after she bathed him with our soap he actually calmed down enough for her to sit and hold him. She told us that she had been given the dog over a year earlier and this was the first time she was able to sit and hold it. We have many repeat customers for our flea soap and we have even had a groomer that purchased 50 bars to use in his shop.
